I'm Nanxi Qu, an AI product and experience designer. I design and build learning-focused AI tools, from the first user problem to a working prototype.

Born in China, raised in Dubai, and now based in the U.S., I grew up moving between cultures, and learned to notice how differently people see and express the same thing. I started in fashion, where I learned to design with both intuition and structure: how form, texture, and color shape identity. That foundation still guides everything I make.

Today my work sits where product, UX, and learning design meet. I led UI and product development on NYU BetterNotes, an AI-powered workspace that turns passive note-taking into an active study habit. I designed and built MentorMind on my own with Cursor and the Claude API, a conversational tool that helps students learn how great thinkers think, not just what they achieved. I prototype fast through vibe coding, but I always start from how people actually behave.

I'm drawn to how technology can hold emotion, how visuals can speak without words, and how design can make an experience simply feel right. I'm looking for roles in AI product, UX, and learning experience design, on teams where design, product, and storytelling work closely together.
